Colleen, grew up in New Jersey and received her bachelors degree in developmental psychology from The College of New Jersey and her masters degree in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University. Colleen has worked with a diverse population of children ages 0-21 in schools, outpatient clinics and in their homes. She has lived in New Jersey, Texas, North Carolina and now Virginia. She is formally trained in Therapeutic Listening, Interactive Metronome and the SOS Approach to feeding. She has experience working with ABA techniques, Handwriting Without Tears and the Zones of Regulation. Colleen is passionate about working closely with families and empowering children by creating individualized activities that can build self esteem and confidence while providing the just right challenge. Colleen works full time with the Fairfax County Public Schools and is excited to join the Good Beginnings team. When Colleen is not at work she enjoys spending time with her Marine husband, keeping her rambunctious dog out of trouble and enjoying everything that northern Virginia and Washington DC has to offer.
