Katie Kelly, was born and has lived in Loudon County most of her life. Her introduction and love for occupational therapy began after volunteering at a local equine-assisted therapy center working with kids with a variety of diagnoses. From there she attended Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) where I received an A.A.S. majoring in Occupational Therapy. During her time at NOVA, Katie became experienced in working with adults in inpatient rehabilitation and a psycho-social clubhouse, as well as children in school and outpatient rehabilitation settings and adolescents in inpatient mental health. Katie has experience with sensory integration, hand writing, fine motor skills and development, self-care skills, visual motor and visual perceptual skills, self-regulation skills, and praxis and coordination skills.
Katie love the outdoors, small-town life, animals of all shapes and sizes, and spending time with her family, friends, and her dog. Katie so excited to be a part of the Good Beginnings team and looks forward to building collaborative relationships with all of her clients and building fun, functional lives for everyone!
