Laura Cucinotta earned her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. She completed her clinical practicums in the Veteran’s Administration Hospital and the Boston Public School System, working within adult sub-acute care and pediatric care respectively. In addition to Good Beginnings, she also works in the District of Columbia Public School System with students ranging from pre-kindergarten to eighth grade. She is passionate about working with children of all abilities, empowering them to reach their full potential and individual goals. She has experience working with pediatric populations in multiple areas, some of which include sensory processing, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, self-care, executive functioning skills, and social participation. She believes that all children can be successful in their home, school, and community environments, when given the right tools for success. It is our job to change the environment to fit our kids, not change our kids to fit the environment. Let’s work together to foster a positive environment of growth for all children.
